Job Description
Our client is a CIF authorized and regulated by “The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission” with offices in Limassol. They are currently looking for a Compliance Officer fluent in Chinese. The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of the English language and a degree in Law.
Job Responsibilities
- To lead the compliance function within the organization and ensure compliance with relevant laws
- To develop and manage the compliance team
- To coordinate with operational functions and identify any compliance related issues
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to the Board of Directors and regulatory bodies.
- Research and Analyze legal developments and prepare proposals for management review
- Prepare new and/or update existing policies and procedures
- Ensure implementation of internal policies and procedures
- Analyze compliance data to support relevant decision making
- Draft and supervise the KYC process for individual clients, legal entities and counterparties
- Responsible for training of the employees and senior management
- Supervising sales’ monitoring
- Supervising the marketing communication process
- Reviewing agreements with employees, clients, 3rd parties from a compliance point of view
- Liaise with Auditors
- Responding to compliance inquiries and liaising regulatory authorities
- Supervising and responsible for all aspects of the Compliance & AML function
Requirements
- University Degree in Law will be considered an advantage
- Previous experience in a similar role will be considered an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of the Chinese language
- Good knowledge of English
- Strong self-starter personality with initiative and the ability to commence and conclude issues from start to finish
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Internet capabilities
