Our client is a globally renowned Maritime company in the commercial ship management industry based in Limassol is looking for a Software Product Development Analyst to provide analytical horsepower to support company's IT product initiatives. An effective candidate will be given the opportunity to help shape the company's new software products roadmaps by gathering and analysing product requirements and consumer needs.
Responsibilities:
Be the leading role in planning, monitoring and eliciting requirements
Implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing and analysing data requirements
Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formats.
Improve systems by evaluating current practices and working procedures while uncovering areas for improvement
Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimisation strategies
Construct workflow charts and diagrams, study system capabilities and write specifications
Provide solutions to business problems by defining, analysing and documenting requirements
Creating conceptual prototypes and UI mock-ups (wire-frames)
Prioritise initiatives based on business needs and requirements
Monitor project progress by track activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports and recommending actions
Ensure solutions meet business requirements by monitoring performance
Ability to work independently while still interacting within an integrated team structure.
Job Requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or appropriate field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in IT business analysis
Written and verbal communication (English and Greek), including technical writing skills, experience in creating detailed reports and giving presentations
In-depth experience of the Scrum agile process methodology
Experience with JIRA
Experience in creating wireframe mock-ups
Understanding of Information Technology and systems engineering concepts
Ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis using modeling techniques and methods
Ability to influence operations and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
Process improvement, big picture thinking, problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
Shipping knowledge and understanding will be considered a great advantage.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
A Master’s degree in an IT related field will be considered an advantage
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues
Prioritizing and multitasking skills
Desire to work in a team
Excellent communication skills
Fluency in both written and oral English
Previous experience in a similar position.
