Who we are:
We are a cozy family office in the heart of Limassol. We are responsible for the proper management of a variety of luxury properties (both movable and immovable) for the best benefit of the beneficiaries.
What you will be responsible for:
· further improvement of the company’s internal controls and business processes in cooperation with the company’s CFO.
· keeping companies’ accounting records up to date, leading a team of 2 FTE.
· preparation of stand-alone financial statements and/or regular management accounts.
· budgeting and budget controlling.
· thorough analytical review of variances, reporting on those and development of the internal various financial reports.
· Assistance to CFO and Head of tax with VAT and tax-related matters;
· Any other reasonable ad hoc task may be required from time to time
Who we are looking for:
· You have experience in the operations and/or finance department of a company, operating in the maritime industry (preferably shipping/shipbuilding and maintenance)
· You are a team player as this is our core value of our team.
· At the same time, you have enough knowledge and experience to lead projects with limited coaching/supervision and take full responsibility for their result
· As a financial controller you have a high level of professional skepticism and attentiveness to the details but at the same time constantly have a dynamic “big picture” in your mind
· You have good bookkeeping and accounting knowledge, which can be demonstrated during the interview.
· You are familiar with both accounting software like MS Dynamics NAV ® (knowledge of Oracle will be considered as an advantage).
· You are a strong user of MS Office products and first of all MS Excel
· You have no “9-to-5” mentality: we are here to drive our company to the success, so important questions may appear out of normal working hours from time-to-time. We compensate this with reasonable flexibility of work starting hours.
· When you speak or write to people in Russian and in English, they understand you perfectly (if you can do the same also in Greek it once again adds you points).
