Job Description
Dial Marketing Services Ltd. is a Cyprus based company that has been operating in the European gaming market for the past eight years. During the last two years we've been migrating our gambling software platform to Ruby as well as creating new products and gaming platforms with the ultimate goal of extending our international operations.
We are seeking a capable, productive, and diligent Senior Software Engineer with a great attitude and strong work ethic to join our development team and helps us drive our projects forward.
Responsibilities:
*Design and develop software to meet given requirements.
*Assist other members of the team with any queries or troubleshooting.
*Test/QA the work of your peers.
*Deploy to live systems in a controlled and safe way.
*Communicate with others in the company in writing and verbally.
*Manage your time effectively.
*Assist in the upkeep, recovery and maintenance of company servers.
Requirements:
*Excellent MySQL skills are a must, any additional database or NoSQL experience is seen as an advantage.
*Professional knowledge of Linux systems.
*Experience configuring and maintaining Linux web servers.
*Excellent proficiency with Ruby on Rails.
*Strong knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery.
*Willingness and passion for learning.
Pluses:
*Experience in the online gaming sector (online casinos).
*Experience with gaming affiliate software.
*Experience with other Ruby based technologies besides Rails, e.g. Sinatra
Experience with BDD, Rspec and Cucumber.
*Experience with distributed content delivery and creating scalable systems.
*Any front-end development skills (HTML/CSS/Flash).
Local candidates are preferred but relocation is an option for the right candidate.
