On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Manager.
The successful candidate will be expected to work at their Head Office in Nicosia, Cyprus
Responsibilities:
- Review the management accounts/financial statements as prepared by subordinates
- Prepare and communicate fees to clients
- Report deficiencies and resolve client cases
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Meet financial accounting objectives
- Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies identify resource needs; recommend and implement policies and procedures
- Select, train, motivate and evaluate personnel; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline and termination procedures
- Direct, coordinate and review the work plan; meet with the staff to identify and resolve problems; assign work activities and projects; monitor workflow; review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures
- Coordinate accounting activities with those of other departments; prepare and present staff reports and other necessary correspondence
- Supervise other accounting and support staff as assigned
- Higher education degree
- ACA/ACCA qualified
- At least 2-3 years of relevant post qualification experience in Accounting
- Excellent in Microsoft of Office Pack / Proficiency in MS excel (sort, pivot tables)
- Fluent in English (Russian will be considered an advantage)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proven working experience as an Accounting Manager
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure, and to direct and supervise
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- Preparation of financial statements in Caseware will be considered an advantage
