Our client, a small investment firm is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant (Russian speaker) for their offices based in Nicosia.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recording of book‐keeping transactions and preparation of financial statements;
- Maintenance of the general ledger;
- Preparation of weekly, quarterly, annually management accounts and reports;
- Handling of correspondence with third parties and liaison with the local authorities/accounting and administrative issues;
- Communication with external auditors on the issues related to accounting and bookkeeping;
- VAT/VIES Reporting (if required);
- Maintenance of cash book, including daily reconciliation of the bank accounts and internal control of payments;
- Preparation of payment instructions for banks, filing of receipts and payment instructions;
- Preparation of annual tax computation, tax planning;
- Computation of provisional tax in accordance with an estimate of profit for the year;
- Communication with banks with regard to providing all required information upon request of the banks or a companies’ directors;
PROFILE
- Bachelor in Business Administration/Accounting or similar field
- At least 3 years experience in a relevant Accounting position
- Russian and English languages is a must, Greek is considered an advantage
- Good analytical and organisational skills
