Limassol
Our client is an International Corporate Services, Tax Consultancy & Trust Firm in Limassol. They are now looking to employ a partly qualified or qualified ACCA / ACA Accountant with 5 years and knowledge of Cyprus tax and VAT knowledge in the corporate services industry.
Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of clients
Manage a team of 2-3 accountants
Respond to client requests timely and effectively
Prepare periodic management accounts for client review and audit
Process accounting ledger transactions
Perform reconciliations of control accounts, including all bank, debtor and creditor accounts
Prepare all necessary reports and analysis within agreed deadlines
Prepare and process VIES and VAT returns as required, and ensure payments are paid on time
Provide timely and accurate estimates for provisional tax returns, and review all clients on a periodic basis for changes in their tax position
Liaise with auditors and client during the audit process, and ensure all information is provided on a timely and accurate basis
To share knowledge and ideas within the team, helping to build stronger processes and contributing to the development of the Accounting Department and the company.
Report to Head of Accounting regarding the team's portfolio as required, and assist Head of Accounting with tax updates, newsletter and overall organisation of the department
Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will be/have:
Part qualified or qualified ACCA / ACA or equivalent
At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
Cyprus tax and VAT knowledge specific to our industry
Team player and interpersonal skills
Time management and organisational skills
Strong computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office application
Fluent in English
Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule
The working hours are from Monday to Friday from 9:00am - 6pm with 1 hour lunch
